Every year Great Ormond Street Hospital host a series of Friends Christmas Parties for 2000 patients and their families. This year the event was held at The Royal National Hotel in Russell Square and was a star studded affair attended by among others, Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, girl band One Step Beyond and the Greek/Irish (?!) dancers Stavros Flatley of Britain’s Got Talent fame. Joining these celebs were a number of volunteers including some Fast Track folk as seen in the photo attached: Flipper (Ed Dawes), Rudolph (Sandra Frankland), and Miss Elf (Jo Bryant).
Lots of fun games and activities for the children were on offer including a ball pool, beauty bar, cupcake and cookie decorating and Christmas card making. Every child got the chance to meet Santa and give him their Christmas wish list and they all took home some fantastic gifts, all generously donated. Children too poorly to attend did not miss out either as Santa later made a trip to the hospital to hand out their pressies!
